Responsibilities

As Mid-Level Full-Stack Engineer you will:

  • Be responsible for the development of new features, modifications to existing functionality, and fixes to issues in both React and Django.
  • Develop in alignment with established coding standards and design pattern best practices.
  • Convert screen mockups to near pixel-perfect React for both desktop and mobile-friendly pages.
  • Use TDD techniques (with 80% min code coverage) for the development of all Python within Django backend.

Technical requirements

We are only looking for candidates with proven experience using:

  • React (using Next.js a plus) for web application development
  • Experienced with responsive development for desktop, tablet and mobile form factors
  • Redux state management
  • Reusable component design and separation of concerns
  • JavaScript testing with Jest and Puppeteer
  • Django with Python developed with TDD techniques
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Docker
  • PostgreSQL
  • Git source management
  • Appropriate use of open-source libraries 

Extra credit qualifications

  • JavaScript Functional Programming
  • GraphQL
  • OO Design Patterns
  • Pulumi
  • Open-source author and/or contributor

Personality requirements

A great candidate has:

  • A proven track record of creative problem solving in technology.
  • The ability to adapt and respond to challenges with a positive mental attitude.
  • Willingness to dive into code they didn’t write.
  • Timeliness, honesty and integrity.

Compensation 

As an early-stage team member you will be awarded:

  • Equity ownership.
  • An annual salary of $90,000-$110,000
