Nick began his working life raising cattle and landscaping in his hometown of Boonville Missouri. After receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering he soon found himself working in various oil refineries to pay off his student loans. With a desire to make a positive impact on the world (and improve his mental health) he quit to pursue a career in software development. After a challenging but very rewarding year of learning and job searching, he found his way into several large companies including Berkshire Hathway and Atlassian. Eventually, he moved into the start-up world enjoying the fast passed environments and the high impact he could have as an individual. He now finds himself as a Senior Software Engineer at Maya Health with his goals very much fulfilled since leaving construction.
Why are you passionate about psychedelic-assisted healing?
Like many, I have experienced various mental health issues throughout my life. While more traditional healing avenues have been very helpful, including therapy, journaling, etc. I owe a great deal of my progress to my own psychedelic experiences. To be any help in bringing that to others would mean so much.
What do you believe is your gift to the universe?
Utilizing my natural curiosity and problem-solving capabilities to make a positive impact on the world.
